Born in Queens, NY, Mr. Washington received his B.A. in English from Morehouse College in 1997, where he also joined Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity in 1995. He went on to complete law school at Wake Forest University School of Law in 2000.

He was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2000, the South Carolina State Bar in 2003 and the Georgia State Bar in 2007. Mr. Washington is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina and the U.S. District Court – District of South Carolina.

His affiliations include the North Carolina State Bar, the South Carolina State Bar, the Georgia State Bar and the Mecklenburg County Bar.

Mr. Washington has a 6-year-old son and performs volunteer work for the Cub Scouts – Pack 73. He also enjoys fishing and cooking.
