Michael P. Williams is a pre-litigation attorney at the Law Offices of Michael A. DeMayo. Mr. Williams earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994 and his Juris Doctorate from the North Carolina Central University School of Law in 1998. While at NCCU, he was the Articles Editor of the North Carolina Central Law Review. Mr. Williams has been licensed to practice law in North Carolina since 1998 and in the United States District Court for the Eastern (1999) and Middle (2001) Districts of North Carolina.
While Mr. Williams started off his legal career in insurance defense litigation, he has spent the last 17 years representing plaintiffs in the areas of serious personal injury, medical malpractice, and workers’ compensation. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Williams has also served as an adjunct professor at the North Carolina A&T State University where he taught First Amendment law to upperclassmen Journalism majors.
Mr. Williams has two children, a son and a daughter, and enjoys in his spare time playing tennis and golf.
